December 2007 Toyofuji Establishes Toyofuji Shipping New Zealand Limited |

On 1 December 2007, Toyofuji established Toyofuji Shipping New Zealand Limited (TFSNZ) in Auckland, New Zealand, as a wholly-owned local subsidiary.
Working predominantly in the area of shipping agency services and cargo collection, TFSNZ will strive for the continued improvement of services on Toyofuji's Oceania routes.

November 2007 Toyofuji Holds Bon Voyage Concert 2007 |
|
On 29 November, at the Nagoya Congress Center's Century Hall in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, the annual "Toyofuji Bon Voyage Concert 2007" was held.
This year the concert was composed entirely of music written by Beethoven. Conductor Sachio Fujioka led the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, which was accompanied by solo pianist Etsuko Hirose. Three pieces were performed, including Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, "Emperor", and Symphony No. 6, "Pastoral". Two thousand people thoroughly enjoyed the performance of these well known classics.

November 2007 Toyofuji Places Advertising Billboard on Fuji Speedway |

On 1 November, Toyofuji Shipping put up an advertising billboard at the Fuji International Speedway race circuit. The eyes of the world are now on the Fuji International Speedway, which this year became the host of the Japanese Formula One Grand Prix. As a member of the Toyota Group, Toyofuji Shipping is cheering on the Toyota Motor Corporation's racing team in its battle for F-1 Grand Prix glory

October 2007 Shokawa Guest House and Training Center Extension Opens |
|
On 25 October, an opening ceremony was held to mark the completion of a new extension at Toyofuji Shipping's Shokawa Guest House and Training Center. The new wing contains both accommodation and training facilities, making the Center even more convenient for both guests and employees.

October 2007 Toyofuji Holds On-Board Accident Prevention Training Demonstration |
|
On 10 October, Toyofuji Shipping held its annual On-Board Accident Prevention Training for 2007 on the HOTOKU MARU, which was berthed at the Meiko Center. The training was conducted under the guidance of the Nagoya Coast Guard Office, with the Chubu District Transport Bureau, Toyota Motor Corporation, terminal services companies and associated shipping companies also attending. The aim of the event was to raise awareness of safety and accident prevention. This was the 23rd time that Toyofuji has conducted this kind of accident prevention training demonstration.
Toyofuji's top priority remains the safe operation of its vessels with the aim of safe, sure and high-quality transport services. As such, it will continue in its active pursuit of safety activities.

September 2007 Toyofuji Shipping Exhibits at Messe Nagoya 2007 |

Toyofuji Shipping exhibited at the Messe Nagoya 2007, which was held over four days on 27-30 September. Messe Nagoya is an international trade fair that presents a wide range of technologies, products, services and systems to support the "safety, security and comfort" of industries and businesses and of people in their daily lives.
This year, Toyofuji promoted its own approaches to safety by giving visitors the opportunity to try a ship handling simulator, which is used in crew safety training, as well as with scale models and panel displays of Toyofuji vessels.

August 2007 Toyofuji Opens Tohoku Business Office |

On 23 August, 2007, Toyofuji Shipping opened a new Tohoku Business Office. The main objective of its establishment is the improvement of the quality of logistics services in the Tohoku region.
The Tohoku Business Office will strive actively to strengthen Toyofuji's services to its customers in the region.

April 2007 Toyofuji Holds Safety Convention |
|
On 23 April, Toyofuji Shipping held a "Safety Convention", inviting guests-of-honor from Toyota Motor Corporation and Toyota Transportation, as well as guests from our partner companies in the harbor transport and shipping industries. The program included reports on the results of safety activities, plans for future safety activities, presentations of safety activity case studies and the presentation of awards for nil-accident records and vessel environmental efforts. Toyofuji will continue to pursue its safety activities "honestly, steadfastly and earnestly" to achieve our goal of "zero accidents" in all areas of our business.

April 2007 Toyofuji Launches Used Car Export Route from Port of Akita |
|
On 12 April, Toyofuji Shipping sent its first shipment of used vehicles from the port of Akita in Japan's Tohoku region to Vladivostok, Russia. The shipment, which Toyofuji has commenced in anticipation of the expansion of the automobile industry in the Tohoku region, was completed smoothly. On the day of the shipment, Toyofuji invited cargo-owners and other relevant parties to inspect the ship, helping them to increase their understanding of the characteristics and advantages of car-carrier vessels.
Toyofuji will continue to provide services that are even more finely attuned to cargo owners' needs, including picking up used vehicles for export from all parts of the Tohoku region.

March 2007 Toyofuji Shipping Awarded "On-Time Performance" Award |
|
On 27 March, the Toyota Logistics Partners Meeting was held in Las Vegas, bringing together approximately 60 companies involved in logistics for Toyota in the United States. At the Meeting, Toyofuji Shipping received the maritime "On-Time Performance" Award, which is awarded to shipping companies that achieve an on-time performance of 96.5% over the year in meeting the criteria for voyage time set for each port.
Toyofuji is committed to providing safe, certain and on-time maritime freight services and will continue to strive to improve its services.

February 2007 Toyofuji Shipping Awarded Cost KAIZEN Prize |

At Toyota Motor Corporation's Toyota Global Suppliers Convention 2007 on 23 February, Toyofuji Shipping was presented with an award for "Excellence in Cost KAIZEN" for its contribution to the continuous improvement of Toyota Motor Corporation's costs. The award was in recognition of Toyofuji's efforts in reducing the freight charges for Toyota CBUs shipped to Australia and New Zealand in FY2006.
Toyofuji will continue its efforts, involving each and every employee, to make further cost reductions in the hope that it will continue to receive this prestigious award.

January 2007 Service Functions of Toyofuji's Izumi Office Moved and Name Changed |

On January 22, the service functions that had been conducted by Toyofuji Shipping's Izumi Office, were transferred to Meieki Office (19fh Floor, Nagoya Lucent Tower, 6-1, Ushijima-cho, Nishi-ku, Nagoya city, Aichi 451-6019).

January 2007 Toyofuji to Sponsor Maori Exhibition at Tokyo National Museum |
|
For two months from January 23, 2007, an international exchange exhibition, "Mauri Ora_Maori Treasures from the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa", will be held at Tokyo National Museum.
In support of the exhibition's aim of introducing the arts and culture of New Zealand's indigenous people to Japan, Toyofuji Shipping, which operates shipping routes to New Zealand, will sponsor the exhibition as part of its contribution to the community. The exhibition introduces Maori culture in five sections and will display around 120 objects of Maori art.

January 2007 First Shipment of Toyota Vehicles from Kashii Park Port to Taipei |
|
On 12 January, the first shipment of Toyota CBUs left Kashii Park Port in Fukuoka Prefecture bound for the Port of Taipei (Taiwan). The ship was loaded very efficiently and without mishap.
Taking advantage of the relative proximity of Kyushu to Taiwan, Toyofuji Shipping plans to upgrade its ocean freight services to that region.

January 2007 Amendments to Toyofuji Code of Conduct |
|
Given the changes in the social background to the Toyofuji Employees Code of Conduct since its establishment in July 1998, including the enactment of new legislation such the Personal Information Protection Act, environmental legislation and the Company Law, the Toyofuji Employees Code of Conduct has been reviewed and amendments have been made, including a name change.
It will now be known as the Toyofuji Code of Conduct.

On 12 January, Toyofuji Shipping was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Tokai and Tahara Police Departments in Aichi Prefecture for its active cooperation with police operations.
